Recently, a curator from the Australian War Memorial added a shout out to Ravelry seeking pattern testers for knitting patterns which were being developed for a museum publication on war knitting. This publication is being prepared for the 100 year commemoration of the First World War. Australians were asked to contribute knitted products to the war effort I contacted the curator and asked whether she might accept a machine knitted pattern. I've been working on punchcard lace for some time now. After I  discovered a major fault in my machine I sourced a new one from the mountain of machines that my mum has in Adelaide and got working on these samples. On 29th November I joined Dr Daniel Oakman, Senior Curator from National Museum of Australia and curator of Freewheeling, Cycling in Australia along with my old pal, Dr BehoovingMoving  aka Dr Steven Fleming author of CycleSpace at the Pedal Brisbane Festival held at Queensland Museum.  (and btw they are looking for volunteers for their summer programs).
