Having woken early to run up and around Arthur's Seat, possibly my favourite run in the world, I was thrilled to see that the Scottish Parliament Buiding, designed by Catalan architect Enric Miralles, does what good architecture should do: offer an amazing view from above!! Blink and you miss something in Austin. In a city steeped in cycling history, the references to it's legacy are abundant and unexpected...  I love that cycling in Austin is both a cultural activity with its own art, and a way of life, with its own equipment. I love that the desire to cycle is intergenerational and that you do genuinely see kids on the street enjoying their cycling! Austin's cultural activity extends to  street art which appears in a particularly spontaneous way and ends up being as good as some of the more nebulous grant-backed street art I've seen...
