When in Berlin... Brompton World Championships 2016

As a cyclist you could visit Berlin to participate in the 10,000 strong Velothon; where you could choose one of two distances, 60 or 120km. While cycling you would pass Berlin's cultural and architectural highlights including Brandenburger Gate, Potsdamer Platz, Tempelhof Airport, Eastside-Gallery, Governmental District and Siegessäule. But, if you wanted to a decidedly more eccentric bike race, there would be no other choice but the Brompton World Championships. The Brompton folding bike is a design and engineering wonder. In 2015 we will be developing workshops to explore these concepts in partnership with interested bodies around the country. In the meantime, here are some of the articles: Fleming and Russo (2014)...

Angelina Russo Blog Posts culturecycle cyclespace cycling and design freewheeling national museum of australia

On 29th November I joined Dr Daniel Oakman, Senior Curator from National Museum of Australia and curator of Freewheeling, Cycling in Australia along with my old pal, Dr BehoovingMoving  aka Dr Steven Fleming author of CycleSpace at the Pedal Brisbane Festival held at Queensland Museum.  (and btw they are looking for volunteers for their summer programs). The Whale Walk at the Qld Museum never looked better with trades stalls, performers and artists along with a variety of speakers.
